News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $40 million ( $24.3 million in cash ) was not won which means the jackpot will start to build up again after the recent Powerball Jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 5th April 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 08-20-46-53-54 and the Powerball of 13 and thus the annuitised $40 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize last night but two ticket holders , one from California and one from Pennsylvania won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holder from California won $2,469,064 with the second prize ticket holder from Pennsylvania winning $1 million in prize money.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore rise to an estimated $50 million ( $30.4 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 8th April 2017.
Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the growing jackpot !
