News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $53 million ( $32.4 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up again after the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 1st March 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 10-16-40-52-55 and the Powerball of 17 and thus the $53 million jackpot was won.
It was a relatively quiet night in Powerballville last night as in Wednesday night’s Powerball draw no ticket holders won a first or second prize with the first payout coming at the third prize level where twelve ticket holders matched four main balls and the Powerball.
One of the twelve third prize winners had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket and was no doubt delighted to see that the Powerplay multiplier in last night’s draw was 10 thus increasing their $50,000 prize money to $500,000!!.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will increase to an estimated $68 million ( $41.5 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 4th March 2017.
