News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $70 million ( $41.8 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up again after the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 31st December 2016 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 01-03-28-57-67 and the Powerball of 09 and thus the annuitised $70 million jackpot was not won.
It was a quiet night in Powerballville last night as in Saturday night’s Powerball draw no ticket holders won first or second prize with the first payout coming at the third prize level where thirteen ticket holder matched four main balls and the Powerball ( five with Powerplay ).
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $80 million ( $48.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 4th January 2017.
