News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $112 million ( $69.1 million in cash ) was not won and thus the jackpot has started to build up again after the recent Powerball jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 27th January 2018 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 17-21-26-47-54 and the Powerball of 07 and thus the annuitised $112 million jackpot was not won.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball draw but two lucky ticket holders , one from Georgia and one from North Carolina won a second prize by matching five main balls .
The second prize ticket holder from Georgia won $1 million in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from North Carolina winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option on their entry ticket ( thus 2 x $1 million = $2 million ).
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will increase to an estimated $127 million ( $78.4 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 31st January 2018.
Previous experience shows that the Powerball jackpot grows rapidly so the Lotto Central team advise blog readers to keep an eye on the Lotto Central blog to monitor progress !
