News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $153 million ( $93.5 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up again after the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 21st January 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 23-25-45-52-67 and the Powerball of 02 and thus the annuitised $153 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize last night but two lucky ticket holders , one from Connecticut and one from Washington won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holder from Connecticut won $1 million with the second prize ticket holder from Washington winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket ( Powerplay was 2 thus 2 x $1 million = $2 million ).
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $170 million ( $103 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 25th January 2017.
Previous experience shows that the Powerball jackpot grows rapidly so the Lotto Central team advise blog readers to keep an eye on the Lotto Central blog to monitor progress !
