News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $541.9 million ( $343.2 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up to a significant three figure amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Saturday 19th August 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 17-19-39-43-68 and the Powerball of 13 and thus the annuitised $541.9 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize in Saturday night’s Powerball draw but ten lucky ticket holders , one from California , two from Florida , two from Missouri ,one from New Jersey , one from North Carolina , one from Pennsylvania , one from South Carolina and one from Tennessee won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Florida , Missouri ,New Jersey , North Carolina and Pennsylvania won $1 million each with the second prize ticket holder from California winning $1,095,207.
The second prize ticket holders from South Carolina and Tennessee won $2 million each as they had both selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket . ( Powerplay is always 2 at this level of prize money)
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $650 million ( $411.7 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 23rd August 2017.
