News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $132 million ( $85.1 million in cash ) was won by one lucky ticket holder from Colorado !.
In the draw last night , Saturday 16th September 2017 one lucky ticket holder matched the main ball numbers of 17-18-24-25-31 and the Powerball of 24 and thus the annuitised $132 million jackpot was won.
One ticket holder won the first prize in Saturday night’s Powerball draw but also nine lucky ticket holders , one from Arkansas , two from California , one from Idaho ( with Powerplay) , one from Illinois , one from Missouri , one from Ohio , one from Oregon ( with Powerplay ) and one from Pennsylvania won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw .
The second prize ticket holders from Arkansas , Illinois , Missouri , Ohio and Pennsylania won $1 million each in prize money . The second prize ticket holders from California won $72,963 each with the second prize ticket holders from Idaho and Oregon winning $2 million each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore start off again at an estimated $40 million ( $25.4 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 20th September 2017.
