News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $137 million ( $81.9 million in cash ) was not won and thus the jackpot has started to build up again after the recent Powerball Jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 16th June 2018 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 09-45-57-58-65 and the Powerball of 09 and thus the annuitised $137 million jackpot was not won.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw but four lucky ticket holders , one from New Jersey , one from Puerto Rico, one from Tennessee and one from Wisconsin won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw .
The second prize ticket holders from New Jersey , Puerto Rico and Wisconsin won $1 million each with the second prize ticket holder from Tennessee winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket . ( Powerplay mutliplier at this level of prize payout is always two thus 2 x $1 million = $2 million )
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will rise to an estimated $151 million ( $90.7 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 20th June 2018.
