News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $40 million was not won and now starts to build up again after the record breaking $1.4 Billion jackpot win last week.
In the draw last night , Saturday 16th January 2016 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 03-51-52-61-64 and the Powerball of 06 and thus the $40 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize but three lucky ticket holders won the second prize by matching the five main balls .
The lucky second prize ticket holders came from Arizona , New York and Pennsylvania .The lucky ticket holder from Arizona had selected the Powerplay option on their entry ticket and thus scooped a prize of $2 million with the second prize ticket holders from New York and Pennsylvania scooping a not too shabby $1 million each.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore rollover to an estimated $50 million ( $31.8 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 20th January 2016.
For the next Powerball draw the Lotto Central team recommend a visit to the Lotter to play the Powerball game online either as a single line entry or as part of a Powerball Lottery Syndicate. The perplexing issue is how to decide whether to play the next Powerball draw either as a single line entry or as part of a Powerball Syndicate – the answer of course is to do both options !
We wish all our blog readers a great week in their Lottery playing endeavours !
