News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $204 million ( $124.2 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has started to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 6th February 2019 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 05-13-28-38-63 and the Powerball of 21 and thus the annuitised $204 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $224 million ( $136.4 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 9th February 2019.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw but two lucky ticket holders , one from California and one from North Carolina won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holder from California took home $658,346 in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from North Carolina winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier is always TWO at this level of prize money )
The Powerplay multiplier in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw was FIVE.
Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows substantially after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the ever growing jackpot !
