News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $63 million ( $43.9 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has started to build up again following the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 19th January 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 11-15-43-55-61 and the Powerball of 10 and thus the annuitised $63 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $76 million ( $53 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 22nd January 2022.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from California , one from Connecticut and one from Pennsylvania did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize winner from California took home $505,966 in prize money with the second prize ticket holders from Connecticut and Pennsylvania taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.(Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)
There were 377,033 winners in Wednesday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $8,505,806 being paid out in prize money.
