News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $274.2 million ( $197.8 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has started to build up nicely once again to an amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 18th August 2021 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 35-36-51-55-61 and the Powerball of 26 and thus the annuitised $274.2 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $290 million ( $209.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 21st August 2021.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Connecticut,one from Massachusetts and one from West Virginia did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Massachusetts and West Virginia took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Connecticut taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.
There were 691,070 winners in Wednesday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $8,740,026 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw was TWO.
