News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $241.9 million ( $175.6 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has started to build up nicely once again to an amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 11th August 2021 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 12-18-20-29-30 and the Powerball of 16 and thus the annuitised $241.9 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $258 million ( $187.4 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 14th August 2021.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however five ticket holders , one from California,one from New Jersey , one from Ohio, one from Washington D.C. and one from Wisconsin did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holder from California took home $4,472,553 in prize money, the second prize ticket holders from New Jersey and Washington D.C. took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holders from Ohio and Wisconsin taking home $2 million each in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier is always capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
