News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $157.6 million ( $131 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has started to build up nicely again following the recent Powerball jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 8th August 2020 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 02-03-14-40-51 and the Powerball of 24 and thus the annuitised $157.6 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $169 million ( $140.6 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 12th August 2020.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however two lucky ticket holders , one from Illinois and one from Kentucky did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw and took home a not too shabby $1 million each in prize money.
There were also thirteen ticket holders who won a third prize by matching the four main white balls and the red Powerball ( two with the Powerplay option selected on their Powerball entry ticket).
There were 628,036 winners in Saturday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $7,063,793 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows substantially after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the ever growing jackpot !
