News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s annuitised Powerball Jackpot of $1.4225 Billion ( $623.9 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has now started to build up to a truly significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !.
In the draw last night , Saturday 7th October 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 47-54-57-60-65 and the Powerball of 19 and thus the annuitised $1.4225 Billion jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $1.55 Billion ( $679.8 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 9th October 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however twelve ticket holders , one from California , one from Iowa , one from Kansas , one from Louisiana , one from Maine , two from Massachusetts , one from Michigan , one from Ohio ,two from Texas and one from Wisconsin did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Kansas, Louisiana , Massachusetts , Michigan ,Ohio and Wisconsin took home $1 million each in prize money.
The second prize ticket holders from Iowa and Maine took home $2 million each in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
The second prize ticket holder from California took home $1,311,695 in prize money.
There were 4,585,789 winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw with $50,362,890 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
