News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $285.6 million ( $196.7 million in cash ) was won as one lucky ticket holder from Florida matched the five main white balls and the red Powerball in the Powerball Draw and scooped the Powerball Jackpot !!
In the draw last night , Saturday 5th June 2021 one ticket holder matched the main ball numbers of 44-52-54-64-69 and the Powerball of 26 and thus the annuitised $285.6 million jackpot was won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore start off again at an estimated $20 million ( $13.8 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 9th June 2021.
There was one lucky first prize winner in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw but also one lucky ticket holder from Puerto Rico won a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw and took home a not too shabby $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier is always capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)
There were 788,566 winners in Saturday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $8,680,299 being paid out in prize money.( excluding the jackpot )
