News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s annuitised Powerball Jackpot of $136 million ( $68.8 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has now started to build up again following the recent Powerball jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 5th August 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 18-42-44-62-65 and the Powerball of 23 and thus the annuitised $136 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $145 million ( $71,1 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 7th August 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Illinois , one from Indiana and one from New York did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw and took home a not too shabby $1 million each in prize money.
There were 869,631 winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw with $9,270,522 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was TWO.
Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows substantially after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the ever growing jackpot !
