News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s annuitised Powerball Jackpot of $418.5 million ( $202.8 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has now started to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !.
In the draw last night , Saturday 2nd September 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 25-38-42-66-67 and the Powerball of 19 and thus the annuitised $418.5 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $435 million ( $210.9 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 4th September 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Minnesota , one from New York and one from North Carolina did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from New York and North Carolina took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Minnesota taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
There were 966,484 winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw with $11,832,001 being paid out in prize money.
