News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $518.7 million ( $369.2 million in cash ) was not won and therefore the Powerball Jackpot has now started to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !.
In the draw last night , Saturday 1st January 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 06-12-39-48-50 and the Powerball of 07 and thus the annuitised $518.7 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $522 million ( $371.5 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 3rd January 2022.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however four lucky ticket holders , one from Arizona , one from California , one from Florida and one from Maryland did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Arizona and Florida took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from California taking home $1,205,860 in prize money.
The second prize ticket holder from Maryland took home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay multiplier option on their Powerball entry ticket.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was TWo.
There were 2,753,745 winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw with $23,060,504 being paid out in winnings.
