News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $561.3 million ( $399.5 million in cash ) was not won and therefore the Powerball jackpot has now started to build up again to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !.
In the draw last night , Monday 3rd January 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 02-13-32-33-48 and the Powerball of 22 and thus the annuitised $561.3 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $575 million ( $409.3 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
There were no first prize winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Connecticut , one from Montana and one from Texas did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
One of the second prize ticket holders from Connecticut and Texas took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Montana taking home $2 million in prize money each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.
There were 1,880,228 winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw with $16,518,033 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Monday night’s Powerball Draw was TWO.
