News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $296.1 million ( $150.5 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Lottery Jackpot has now started to build up once again to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 4th January 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 12-32-56-67-68 and the Powerball of 26 and thus the annuitised $296.1 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated annuitised $325 million ( $165.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 7th January 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Arizona , one from Connecticut and one from North Carolina did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Arizona and North Carolina took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Connecticut taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier is capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)
There were 619,795 winners in Wednesday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $8,535,813 being paid out in prize money.
