News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $274.6 million ( $139.6 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has now started to build up once again following the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Monday 2nd January 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 07-09-12-31-62 and the Powerball of 22 and thus the annuitised $274.6 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $291 million ( $147.9 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders ,one from Kentucky , one from Missouri and one from South Carolina did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holder from Kentucky and Missouri took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from South Carolina taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.
The Powerplay multiplier in Monday night’s Powerball Draw was TWO.
Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows substantially after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the ever growing jackpot !
