News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $485 million ( $244.7 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot is now starting to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Monday 17th October 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 19-30-36-46-60 and the Powerball of 25 and thus the annuitised $485 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $508 million ( $256.3 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 19th October 2022.
There were no first prize winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Iowa , one from Kentucky and one from Wisconsin did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Iowa and Wisconsin took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Kentucky taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay multiplier option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
There were 590,044 winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw with $9,120,712 being paid out in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Monday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
