News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that the Megamillions Lottery Jackpot was won last night as one lucky ticket holder from New York matched the five main white balls and the gold Megaball to win the annuitised $425 million Megamillions Jackpot !.
The Megamillions numbers drawn on Tuesday 1st January 2019 were 34-44-57-62-70 with the number of the Megaball being 14. In Tuesday night’s draw one ticket holder matched the five main numbers and Megaball thus the $425 million ( $254.6 million in cash ) jackpot was won .
The Megamillions Jackpot will therefore start off again at an estimated $40 million ( $23.9 million in cash) in the next Megamillions Draw which will be drawn on Friday 4th January 2019.
There was one first prize winner in Tuesday night’s Megamillions Lottery Draw but also seven lucky ticket holders , three from New York , one from Ohio , one from Pennsylvania , one from South Carolina and one from Texas won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Megamillions Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from New York , Ohio , South Carolina and Texas took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Pennsylvania taking home $4 million in prize money as they had selected the Megaplier option on their Megamillions entry ticket.
The Megaplier multiplier in Tuesday night’s Megamillions Draw was FOUR.
