National Lottery operator Camelot today revealed some exciting changes planned for the UK Lotto game which they plan to introduce in the Autumn of 2013 .
The upside ? – higher payouts and a new raffle , The downside ? – the cost of playing the Lottery is set to double with a single line increasing from £1 to £2.
Camelot point out that the price of a single line has been £1 since the UK Lotto launch in 1994 and that consumer research has indicated that Lottery players are looking for more ways to win in the UK Lotto game.
So the prize for matching three numbers will rise from £10 to £25 once the changes have been implemented . We will also see a rise in the amounts paid for matching four numbers but the prize money for matching five numbers and five numbers and the bonus will decrease.
The big change will be the introduction of a new UK Lotto Raffle which will pay out a prize of £20,000 to 50 winners in each Lottery draw.
The amount of raffle prizes will increase if the Lotto draw goes to a rollover and will increase each time a rollover occurs.
