After a long run of rollover jackpots the Powerball jackpot was finally won and has now returned to a somewhat “normal” level with the jackpot at $90 million in last night’s draw.

In the draw last night , Wednesday 4th March 2015 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 08-12-15-35-50 and the Powerball of 32 thus the jackpot was not won.
Seven ticket holders did win the second prize by matching the five main balls – the lucky winning second prize ticket holders came from California (x2) , Florida , Georgia, Montana , New York and Virginia .The second prize ticket holders from Florida ,Georgia,Montana and New York won $1 million each with the second prize ticket holder from Virginia winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option which is always set at a level of two for this level of prize thus 2 x $1 million = $2 million.
The two second prize ticket holders from California won $147,642 each.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore rollover to an estimated $100 million ( $66.3 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 7th March 2015.
