News reaches Lotto Central HQ from across the pond that after many weeks of jackpot rollovers the Powerball Jackpot was finally won last night with three lucky ticket holders matching the five main balls and the Powerball sharing the enormous $564.1 million jackpot ( $381.1 million cash ).
The Powerball numbers drawn last night were 11-13-25-39-54 with the Powerball of 19 – the three lucky ticket holders sharing the jackpot came from North Carolina , Puerto Rico and Texas.
There were also a plethora of second prize winners with 34 ticket holders matching the five main balls – the lucky second prize winners came from Arizona (2) , California (3), Florida (2),Illinois , Kansas , Louisiana, Maryland (2), Missouri (3),New Hampshire , New Jersey , New York (4) , North Carolina (2), Ohio (3), Pennsylvania (2 , 1 with Powerplay) , Texas (3), Washington ( 2) and Wisconsin.
The second prize winners from California won $1,428,692 each with the remaining second prize winners scooping $1 million each except for the ticket holder in Pennsylvania who selected the Powerplay option and thus doubled their prize from $1 million to $2 million.
So after all the recent excitement it’s back to a “normal” $40 million jackpot in the next Powerball draw which will be drawn on Saturday 14th February – still worth a punt surely ?
