News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that once again the Megamillions Lottery Jackpot has not been won thus ensuring an ever increasing jackpot amount . The Megamillions Jackpot has been rolling over since 4th November 2014 and thus the jackpot now exceeds the $200 million mark . The good news ? – the Megamillions Jackpot has been won in January at least once in every year since 2005 , so surely worth a punt this month !
The Megamillions numbers drawn on Tuesday 6th January were 12-20-27-38-75 with the number of the Megaball being 04. In Tuesday night’s draw no ticket holders matched the five main numbers and Megaball and thus the $206 million jackpot was not won . This means that the Megamillions jackpot will rollover once again and as a result Friday night’s Megamillions jackpot is estimated at an eye watering $221 million ($144.8 million in cash ).
In Tuesday night’s draw there were no ticket holders matching the five main balls and Megaball however one lucky ticket holder from Minnesota claimed a second prize by matching 5 main balls and went home with a not too shabby $1 million prize .
With such a large jackpot up for grabs the perplexing question for the Lotto Central team is whether to play the Megamillions game on a single ticket or as part of a Lottery Syndicate. There is of course any easy answer to this perplexing question – do both !
