News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that the Megamillions Lottery Jackpot was won last night with one lucky ticket holder in Florida matching the five main White balls and the Gold Megaball.
The Megamillions numbers drawn on Friday 5th January 2018 were 28-30-39-59-70 with the number of the Megaball being 10. In Friday night’s draw one ticket holder matched the five main numbers and Megaball and thus the annuitised $450 million jackpot was won.
The Megamillions Jackpot will start off again at an estimated £40 million ( $25 million in cash) in the next Megamillions Draw which will be drawn on Tuesday 9th January 2018.
There was one first prize winner in Friday night’s Megamillions Lottery Draw but also eight ticket holders , one from California , one from Massachusetts , two from Oklahoma , one from Tennessee , two from Texas and one from Virginia won a second prize by matching the five main balls .
The second prize ticket holder from California won $1,860,934 in prize money with the second prize ticket holders from Massachusetts ,Oklahoma ,Tennessee , Texas and Virginia winning $1 million each.
Now that the Megamillions Jackpot has started to build up again the Lotto Central team recommend keeping a close eye on the Megamillions draw as past performance indicates that this jackpot grows rapidly after a few rollover draws .
