News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that the Megamillions Lottery Jackpot was won last night as two lucky ticket holders , one from Georgia and one from Virginia shared the annuitised $15 million ( $10.3 million in cash ) Megamillions Lottery Jackpot .
Megamillions enthusiasts will note that this is the second successive Megamillions draw where the jackpot has been won. The jackpot was won in Tuesday night’s draw by a ticket holder in Washington . This is only the sixth time in the game’s history that the jackpot has been won in back-to-back drawings, and the first time that has happened since May 25th and 28th, 2010.
The Megamillions numbers drawn on Friday 22nd July 2016 were 08-24-25-26-30 with the number of the Megaball being 07. In Friday night’s draw two ticket holders matched the five main numbers and Megaball thus the $15 million jackpot was won .
The Megamillions Jackpot will start off again at an estimated $15 million ( $10.2 million in cash) in the next Megamillions Draw which will be drawn on Tuesday 26th July 2016.
There were two first prize winners in Friday night’s Megamillions draw sharing the Megamillions jackpot but no ticket holders won the second prize with the next payout coming at the third prize level where fifty eight ticket holders matched four white balls and the gold Megaball.
